Because of our strong Italian heritage, and our success withSangiovese and Pinot Grigio for the last 15 and 8 yearsrespectively, we were able to locate a top notch Dolcetto vineyardrecently. We could not resist adding this varietal to ourItalian line up.

This deep purple wine is reminiscent of the better reds fromnorthern Italy with its ripe, dark stone fruit and mature berryaromas with a touch of earthiness. On the palate, thismedium-bodied wine is thick with fruit and softer with structuredtannins. This well balanced Dolcetto finishes with long,pleasing flavors.

Our goal, when we were able to source some outstanding OrangeMuscat grapes, was to make a classic dessert wine with a sugar acidbalance similar to the great dessert wines from France.

The aromas all but explode out of the glass when pouring,exhibiting apricot, orange zest, clove, honey and exoticspices. The flavors follow with added hints of ripe quinceand tamarind. This rich sweetness is balanced nicely by theacied and alcohol, with flavoors lingering long after thewine is tasted.
